The Difference

All of us have its differences. The way we look, we communicate to other people and the way we behave. These are the important aspects that would help us mature or change—changing for a better individual. It does not depend on what resources we have, but it depends on what we are.

There are few principles that we, people must understand and follow. These will be helpful to all with the aim of achieving a great existence:

One of the important values, is Ethics in which, we should have a good manner, the character and a proper behaviour; having good intentions, good decisions and actions. Next is integrity, possessing a sense of honesty and constancy of character pertaining to one’s actions. Responsibility or the moral obligation, making certain that something will come to pass. This is also called as the accountability, being liable to something. Other than these principles, there should be respect—respecting the laws and rules as well as to the rights of other individuals. Respect is earned from ourselves. We should respect ourselves first before anything else. When we gained the respect from ourselves, then we already learn how to respect others. We should take their feelings, thoughts, needs, and ideas into consideration—giving each and every one worth and value. Moreover, we should love our work. For us to love our work, we ought to enjoy it. Enjoying on what we are doing and so, we will love our work. This may help us learn many things; therefore, we will be able to gain knowledge, skills and attitude as well. We must not resist to changes so as to discover lots of things. The other principle is striving for savings and investment. This is one way of moneymaking and being productive. The other is the will of one’s action. This is one’s motivation to strive hard, with the aim of excelling in every work you are doing. Next is being punctual, this is also known as “on time”. This is carrying out or finishing an obligation well ahead of time. It values and saves time. So this makes oneself productive. The last important value is the discipline, which all of us must possess. It is related to obedience—obeying in all commands, respecting others, autonomy and cooperation. Having self-control, high moral and with acceptable deeds.

These are the essential principles or values that we must possess in our daily lives. Attitude really matters for us to have a better way of living. Success does not depend on the natural resources we have but it really depends on the attitude we have. Through this proper attitude, we Filipinos truly can become new and better citizens of our nation. We must change our bad attitudes for us to succeed in our lives. We lack confidence and independence to do something, which we all know we can make it if only we try. We should take a risk for us to achieve what we wanted in our lives. We must not be afraid on failures; these are the ones which help mold ourselves to become a better entity.
